Description: | Job description Assistant Accountant Based Ruthin Salary DOE Reporting to the Head of Finance, the major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that make up the job role of Assistant Accountant, include the following: General Ensure appropriate accounting policies are applied during the preparation of monthly accounts, monthly forecasts, and annual budgets. Supervise daily operations within the scope of accounts receivable and / or accounts payable. Oversee the processing of Purchase / Sales orders within process. Collaborate with the Finance manager to ensure smooth running of the accounting procedures and Policies. Documentation, development and review of Business process and financial controls Be an advanced user of Microsoft Office tools. Be able to complete and Support the Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations Ad-hoc guided tasks and reports Provide holiday cover for tasks within the Finance function Regular Tasks Prepare Stock Valuation Prepare Cost of Sales Reconciliation Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT and other tax returns. Provide supplier support services and assist in the resolution of differences or problems. Report on Cash Inflows and weekly key performance indicators Prepare review Nominal Account reconciliations. Ensure timely preparation and submission of Government Statistics. Provide Supplier support services and assist in the resolution of differences or problems. Support compliance with statutory accounting standards and audit practices Conduct monthly management checks and regular housekeeping activities to maintain an efficient financial system. Ensure regular Data backups are taken in line with policy. Report on income / expenditure patterns Ensure accruals and prepayment concepts are applied to processed transactions. Prepare regular accounting reports to the management accountant to update them on company financial progress. Banking Knowledge of reconciliation of bank funds and accounts. Knowledge of and support of Process payments Know how-to process financial documents such as invoices and vouchers. Job Type: Full-time Salary: From £24,000.00 per year Benefits:
