This growing residential housing provider are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their collaborative team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will take key responsibility for the financial accounts and audit process, whilst also having key oversight of the transactions processing and fixed asset register.

The key duties of this Financial Accountant are as follows:

  • Preparation and management of the statutory accounts process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration with external auditors, providing necessary documentation, and facilitating the audit process.
  • Lead in the development of the year end schedules and ensure all queries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Have critical oversight of the maintenance of the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording and depreciation calculations.
  • Prepare, review and authorise all necessary reconciliations.
  • Provide critical support in the treasury management function and management of service charges.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ideally, part-qualified as an accountant and be actively studying towards completion.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statutory accounts preparation and audit coordination.
  • Background in housing association finance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to work.

This role will officially be based out of their offices in Worcestershire, although opportunities to work from home will be on offer for up to 4 days per week.
