Senior Accountant

Reed Practice have been engaged to assist a small but mighty firm in Suffolk to recruit a Senior Accountant.

The firm's main Accountant is due to go on extended leave, whilst this position is to take on their duties, it is a permanent opportunity as the firm are experiencing extreme growth.

The Director is a respected expert in his field, providing advanced tax advice, to clients with turnovers in the hundreds of millions. The firm is also engaged by others to manage specialist corporate finance assignments.

The role of Senior Accountant is fundamental to the success of the business. Tasks will include:

• Accounts preparation experience including incomplete records and reconciliations.• Interrogation of management accounts with critical analysis of financial results and feedback• Calculation of both corporation tax including experience of capital allowances, disallowable items and year-end tax planning.• Supervision of more junior staff in bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns.

We invite those who are at least AAT level 3 qualified, with proven experience preparing accounts for clients of an accountancy firm. Other experience that is highly desirable is Sage, Xero and Quickbooks, good Excel including analysing data with pivot tables and formulas, as well as corporate and personal tax returns.

Salary will reflect your experience. Working from home and a discretionary performance bonus are on offer also.
