Title: Head of Commercial Finance

Reporting to: CFO

Morgan McKinley is proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic engineering/manufacturing business to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance.

As the Head of Commercial Finance you will be a commercially focused individual, able to influence at Board level. You will be able to live the company values while delivering to a high standard with energy and pace.

Responsibilities:

• Business partner the Board
• Ensure a robust forecast is in place by monitoring and challenging the forecast as well as investigating variances through to conclusion
• Ensure the team are providing reporting, analysis and insight to explain the underlying variances against budget and forecast
• Identify and follow risks and opportunities
• Provide direction to the Senior Leadership Teams to improve performance, support cost control and simplification
• Build, manage, track and evaluate projects
• Undertake and drive insightful analysis of all KPI's
• Manage and develop a small but strong qualified finance team
• Establish effective relationships with all members of the senior management team and develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the business
• Constantly strive to simplify processes while maintaining adequate controls

Requirements:

• A fully qualified accountant ideally with sector experience across either engineering, manufacturing or technology
• Strong commercial finance background
• A strong communicator who is comfortable challenging the status quo
• Strong leadership and motivation of people
• Able to interpret and communicate financial issues to non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to roll sleeves up and get into the detail when required
• Business partner at Board level

Salary & Benefits

The role of Head of Commercial Finance has a range of 100,000 - 120,000, plus excellent benefits.
