Description: Summary

The Change function reports to the Global COO for Market Risk Management who directly reports to the Global Head of Market Risk, and it is responsible for initiating, driving and implementing change related programmes across all functions affecting market risk. This includes strategic change projects, process improvements on MR’s risk management framework (VaR, Stress Testing, Counterparty Risk and sensitivities (‘Greeks’)) as well as managing the requirements definition and implementation of major global regulatory projects (e.g. US Basel III, CCAR, FRTB etc), and other cross-divisional projects where MRM is a stakeholder.

Responsibilities

•Primarily focused on project/change management within the FRTB programme, but requires flexibility to provide support to other projects e.g. project manager on one project but analyst on another
•Ability to self manage project deliverables
•Ability to handle multiple stakeholders
•Communication at a detailed level with subject matter experts (SMEs) and at a high level with senior management
•Delivery of documentation to an exceptionally high standard e.g. Project plans, Status reports, business requirements, current state analysis, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, UAT scripts as well as senior management presentations
•Critical evaluation of technical documents e.g. functional specifications to ensure they are delivered to required standards
•Implementation and management of quality controls
•Involvement in all areas of project life cycle e.g. analysis, design, UAT testing, providing training, implementation
•Provision of assistance to other projects within the team

Skills and Experience

•Knowledge of the FRTB regulatory frameworks ideally with previous “hands-on” experience in an FRTB implementation.
•Market risk experience is essential and counterparty credit risk experience desirable
•Good product knowledge
•Experience in managing multiple projects
•Accuracy with numbers essential and a keen eye for detail
•Excellent MS Excel skills required
•Strong business and analytical skills required
•Industry / Banking knowledge gained in a Tier 1 investment bank
•Experience with working in international environments
•Excellent written and communication skills
•Ability to build effective relationships with information technology and operational delivery staff
•Pragmatic approach to delivering change
•Proven time and resource management skills
•Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio, Project and various internal systems
