Job description

In the banking and financial services sector, Client Services are simply those services provided for clients including daily contact, administrative services, dealing with requests and providing information and research where relevant. As in any business, providing efficient and proactive client services are essential. In the finance sector, Client Services may take on added significance given the nature of the transactions and sums of money involved.

Typical duties include:

• Daily client correspondence - via verbal or electronic communication.
• Dealing with client queries and requests.
• Opening and transferring accounts.
• Maintaining accounts.
• Performance review meetings with colleagues and clients.
• Maintaining and improving relationships with clients.
• Research and analysis.

Qualifications

Excellent communications skills, attention to detail, a thorough understanding of financial systems, products and markets and the ability to provide outstanding customer service are more important than specific qualifications.
