Financial Services and Insurance companies employ Account Executives to manage an existing portfolio of their clients.
As well as ensuring that existing clients are managed effectively, some account managers are required to generate new business from that client base by promoting other products to increase revenue. It's also common for account managers to develop business from new clients using a variety of sales techniques so many employers look for candidates with a strong sales track record.
Duties include:
Providing a high level of customer service to clients.
Preparation of policy documentation.
Giving advice to clients on the suitability of certain products.
Contacting clients to review their policies or portfolios.
Selling new products to existing clients.
Sourcing leads for new business.
Attending sales meetings, both internal and external.
Assisting Senior Account Managers.
Qualifications
Many employers expect account executives to have, or at least be studying for the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) offered by the Chartered Insurance Institute.

£45-50,000 plus benefits for an Account Executive based in London.
