Detailed and thorough financial planning and analysis (FPA) is vital for the successful operation of any business or organisation. This is sometimes carried out by management or financial accountants but is also often the responsibility of specialist Financial Analysts.
Financial planning and analysis requires strong technical accounting and financial modelling skills as specialists will be required to offer analysis and advice to senior company figures, sometimes at board level, to support decision making.

Working in FPA requires skilled technical finance professionals with excellent communication and influencing skills.
Qualifications
Financial planning and analysis is usually carried out by finance professionals who may be fully or part qualified accountants.
