FCWA has supported victims of domestic abuse across Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre for over 25 years. It offers a holistic 24 hour responsive service with 3 main areas of provision: 1. Safe temporary accommodation. FCWA manages 3 refuges for up to 12 families. 2.Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA), outreach and recovery including a Minority Ethnic specialist worker, a Male IDVA, a Stalking Advocacy Caseworker, a Health based IDVA at Blackpool Teaching Hospital and most recently a worker dedicated to working in GP surgeries across Blackpool. 3. Children and Young People’s (CYP) services include Connect with Respect project looking at healthy relationships for 10 – 18 year olds, WIRED project focusing on CSE (child sexual exploitation) and internet safety. FCWA also has a dedicated domestic abuse helpline run by a team of volunteers; and hosts regular training events to support other organisations across the Fylde Coast.
