My client are an established and reputable organisation who are a leading manufacturer and distributer of specialist items. They are one of the areas biggest and most desirable employers in Staffordshire and across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their accounts function, in the heart of the city, to support with their ever increasing sales and vision for the future.

The role of the Credit Controller is integral to the Accounts Department, ultimately, you will be responsible for dealing with a super busy department and all associated queries.

Duties to include:
  • Chasing debt for allocated number of customers
  • Control orders in a proactive manner
  • Posting of cash to ledger
  • Raising credits and ad hoc invoices
  • Use of credit insurance
  • Resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Exposure to multi-currency ledgers GBP, Euro & USD
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required
  • Provide support and cover for other members of the Credit Control Team
In order to be considered for the role:
  • You will have previous proven experience within Credit Control
  • You will Ideally have experience within Microsoft Dynamics, but this is not essential
  • It would be desirable to have a background working for an FMCG organisation.
  • You will have good knowledge of credit notes, returns or rebates and complex ledgers or invoices
  • Have had exposure to EDI
  • Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Possess great communications skills
  • Have self-discipline & good time management
  • Have experience working within a fast paced environment
  • Strong team player
  • Good awareness of deadlines
This role would suit a problem solver, with an inquisitive mind. Someone who can identify anomalies quickly and resolve. Someone who will build relationships with suppliers and customers alike to provide the best possible experience. It would be of great benefit to have worked with a multifaceted customer base from B2B business clients, retail businesses and e-commerce.
