As they continue to expand there team, they are seeking a talented and experienced Tax Manager to join and lead the tax department.

Role Overview: As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing the firm's tax compliance and advisory services. You will oversee a team of tax professionals, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate tax advice to our clients. This role requires a strong technical knowledge of taxation laws and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice on a range of tax matters.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Review tax returns, computations, and other documentation prepared by junior staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive advice and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize client outcomes.
  • Work closely with other departments within the firm to provide integrated solutions to clients' tax and financial needs.
  • Represent clients in discussions with tax authorities and assist with tax audits and investigations when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations, with experience in both corporate and personal tax.
  • Previous experience managing a team of tax professionals is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients.
