Construction Account Executive

John Williams are proud to be partnering with an independent, privately owned, Chartered insurance broking firm providing bespoke insurance services and solutions for property related businesses and private individuals. With the benefit of over 74 years of experience they offer expertise in responding to the insurance needs of owners, developers, and managers of property.

They are seeking an experienced Construction Account Executive to join their team in London to provide their developer and construction clients exceptional service on their insurance and risk management needs, assist in gathering of information for preparation of market submission, and the day-to-day management of policies including but not limited to CAR, Casualty/Liability and Inherent Defects/Residential Warranties.

Key Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in the insurance industry with a demonstrated history of handling construction client insurance accounts of at least 5 years.
• Experience with commercial and residential builds for property developers and investors, building contractors, project managers, architects. Mainly single project OCIPs.
• Knowledgeable in placement of covers specific to this sector.
• An understanding of the construction process including contractual insurance requirements.
• Experienced with slips, endorsements, MRC s, etc .
• Attendance at insurer risk management surveys.
• Claims handling and liaison with loss adjusters.

Key Skills:

• Providing developer/construction clients exceptional service on their insurance and risk management needs.
• Assist in gathering of information for preparation of market submission.
• Assessing quotes and following negotiations with insurers.
• Liaison with specialist brokers used for certain classes of insurance.
• Reporting and presenting proposal to clients in an easy-to-understand way.
• Corresponding with underwriters to obtain signed policy documents including mid-term amendments.
• Drafting summaries and claims procedure documents.
• Proficient in broker and insurer platforms mainly Acturis.
