Description:

Our client is recruiting for a qualified Credit Manager to manage their recoveries team in Rocester (near Uttoxeter), on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Asset Management & Recoveries Director, you will be responsible for managing arrears, default, forbearance, termination of agreements, recovery of assets, and bad debt. The role would suit candidates with previous credit management experience, ideally within the asset finance or banking sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing effective support for the company s recoveries and default activities. Leading and mentoring the Collections team of two, who are field based.
  • Implementing strategies to continuously improve the collections procedure. Contributing to the company s overall financial objectives.
  • Developing a framework for setting policies and procedures for CCA Regulated cases, including for litigation. Working to company policy and procedure and compliance with prevailing law and Regulation, to recover company assets and mitigating bad debt.
  • Liaising with Administrators, Liquidators, insolvency practitioners, and solicitors where necessary. Maintaining and developing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compliant with financial services regulation including the Conduct Rules, anti-money laundering, DPA, vulnerable customers, treating customers fairly, and fraud, etc

Qualifications / Experience:

  • CICM qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a credit management role in the asset finance sector, including with good knowledge of CCA regulation.
  • Good understanding of B2B lending and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathetic with an excellent customer service focus.
  • Proven success in managerial roles; strategic thinker, attention to detail, good interpersonal skills and highly motivated.
  • Leading by example and working in accordance with company values and purpose.
