Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant, you will have the opportunity to support the Finance Manager in delivering key performance metrics and driving down costs in line with their business plan. Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end processes and deliver accurate monthly management reports
• Gain a thorough understanding of cost and volume processing through various systems of record
• Provide accurate unit cost data to the business on a monthly basis
• Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met
• Use technical skills to process and analyse large amounts of data
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Prepare data analysis to support Network Operations Management Accounts and Operation Performance Report
• Participate in cross-business reviews to compare unit cost data and understand variances
• Document and improve current business processes

Requirements:

• Part-qualified Accountant or someone looking to start a career in Accounting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
