Accounts Manager / Assistant Accountant

CMA are partnering with an Engineering SME who are seen as market leaders in their field to recruit an Accounts Manager on a permanent basis. The role is newly created due to the continued growth of the business and will join a small team based in Portsmouth. This role will be the main point of contact for finance and will develop into a Financial Controller role in time.

What will the Accounts Manager role involve?

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, cash flow and P+L;
• Purchase ledger including processing, coding and matching of invoices;
• Monthly supplier payment run;
• Adhoc payments;
• Sales ledger;
• Bank reconciliation;
• Quarterly VAT returns;
• Assisting with payroll;
• Adhoc duties as required by the wider team.

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Manager vacancy:

• Minimum of 2 year s experience working within finance, ideally as an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant;
• Studying towards AAT or equivalent;
• Comfortable with working in an SME environment;
• Experience of Quickbooks would be advantageous but not essential.
