Assistant Accountant

Paying up to £35k, our client is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers study support, both a hybrid and flexible working pattern and 25 days holiday. The Role

This position plays a crucial role within the business and will work towards taking ownership of all daily financial transactional activities and actively participating in all aspects of the finance function to support the Head of Finance.

Key accountabilities:

• Ownership of Sales, Purchase and General ledgers
• Daily Bank Reconciliations
• Maintain Fixed Asset
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Variance and KPI analysis
• Budget and cashflow support: Overhead control and forecasting
• Assist with information for year-end audit
• Providing day-to-day finance support to staff across all functions

The Person

You must be a minimum of AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA, as the company offers full study support. You will be dynamic and motivated and be open to change due to the fast-paced and constantly evolving environment and you will have the desire to learn and develop to take on further responsibilities in the future. The role is hybrid (after the probation period) so you must be commutable to Manchester City Centre.

This will suit someone who has some previous experience working within a finance function and someone who is ambitious, driven and looking for a long-term career within finance. The person needs to be proactive with a flexible approach and someone who can meet tight deadlines with high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will have a positive attitude and the desire to grow personally.
