In -House Corporate Tax Manager

In-house Corporate Tax Manager Blackburn £60,000 to £67,000 + 10% bonus

Our client has one of the largest tax teams in the Northwest and we are seeking to appoint a talented Corporate Tax Manager to join a talented team.

The role of Corporate Tax Manager will give the successful applicant exposure to a broad range of UK and international corporate tax matters within a supportive and dynamic team with excellent opportunities for future progression.

Reporting to the Corporate Tax Director this position will play a pivotal role in supporting the business with its corporate tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with finance teams in all jurisdictions to provide details on accounting processes and transactions
• Build and maintain relationships with key finance personnel across the business
• Preparation of quarterly/year end group tax disclosures in IFRS
• Supporting the corporate tax director on broader tax projects such as group debt restructuring, M&A transactions, and post-acquisition restructuring
• Ongoing maintenance and improvements to existing tax controls and tax risk frameworks
• Oversee compliance process for non-UK entities to ensure that deadlines are being met by finance personnel and assist with any tax related queries
• Working with external advisers on the production of UK corporate income tax computations including preparation of UK capital allowances analysis, detailed review of tax treatment of transaction fees, and review of the corporate interest restriction calculation
• Provide support with other corporate tax matters as required and ensuring ongoing compliance with the groups corporate tax compliance obligations

The ideal candidate will be an ACA and /CTA qualified tax professional with practical experience of compliance and reporting experience as well as some knowledge of international groups. You will have the ability to work under pressure and possess excellent communication skills.
