This exclusive position is tailored for a qualified accountant with a penchant for business partnering and a meticulous approach to financial governance. Role Purpose: As the Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in providing essential management accounting support to the Leadership Team, contributing to their understanding of critical performance issues. Your responsibilities will encompass ownership of the month-end reporting process, conducting thorough balance sheet reconciliations, and delivering insightful management reporting. Main Duties / Responsibilities: Own the month-end reporting process, ensuring timely completion and accurate balance sheet reconciliations. Act as the custodian of the monthly reporting cycle, maintaining control and meeting all deadlines. Manage accrual and prepayment schedules, rigorously reviewing regular and one-off items. Oversee the Fixed Asset register, ensuring it remains up to date and accurate. Act as a Business Partner to both UK and overseas businesses and subsidiaries, supporting the Head of Finance in analysis and reporting. Collaborate with divisions to analyse, allocate, and review costs. Execute ad hoc internal and external reporting, including VAT, Intrastat, and National Statistics requirements. Person Specification: Qualified accountant with relevant professional certifications. Proven experience in management accounting and reporting. Strong expertise in balance sheet reconciliation and control. Proficient in Excel, including lookups and pivots. Essential experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Navision / Business Central is advantageous.
