Project Manager Wanted!

Our client is a global leader in Industrial Protection & Security systems based in Lancashire. Due to their specialisms and expanding business, they are looking for Project Manager, who will be responsible for project delivery, client success and satisfaction. This position involves P&L ownership, relationship management, internal & stakeholder management.

Purpose of Job

As the Project Manager you will oversee contract value, P&L, stakeholder management, HSE, and project execution. This client-facing role ensures on-time, on-budget delivery, meeting client needs, and addressing project issues. The manager minimizes risks, maximizes benefits, and maintains overall project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial & Delivery Performance: Drive project success, exceeding targets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong client and team relationships.
  • Client Needs: Fulfil requirements within budget and deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Management: Lead teams using their project management framework.
  • Cost Forecasting: Update Cost to Complete forecasts.
  • Change Management: Identify and manage project changes and risks.
  • Project Tools: Utilize project management tools effectively.
  • Resource Management: Manage subcontracted resources.
  • Relationship Building: Foster relationships with stakeholders.
  • Progress Reporting: Generate concise project reports.
  • Workshops & Collaboration: Coordinate workshops for project goals.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Team Motivation: Support and motivate team members.
  • Documentation: Maintain auditable documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical, Production Engineering, Construction or equivalent
  • Project Management qualification Prince2, APM, MAPM
  • British passport for security clearance (Essential)
  • Experience in regulated industries (Essential)
  • Proficiency in Project Management techniques and tools (Essential)
  • Direct project management experience (Essential)
  • Proven strategic planning, risk, and change management skills (Essential)
  • Program management knowledge (Essential)
  • Exposure to MOD/Nuclear/Rail contracts (Desirable)
  • Multi-million-pound project management experience (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with NEC3 or similar contracts (Desirable)
  • People management and client management experience (Desirable)
  • Document portal/construction management platform experience (Desirable)
  • Health and Safety qualification (Desirable)
  • Proficiency in MS Project or P6 (Desirable)
  • Use of CEMAR Contract Management (Desirable)

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £65k, with a 4 day working week, Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am 5pm, any hours worked on Friday will be paid at time and a half.
