Our Client is a leading branding agencyworking with a fantastic portfolio clients. They are looking for an AccountsPayable Assistant to join their team. You'll be an integral part of the team, working closing with internal finance, account managers as well as the wider group agency. Your role will be to manage the day to day running of the AP function.

Accounts Payable KeyResponsibilities:

  • Receiving Supplier Invoices and rejecting/returning invoices that do not state a valid Purchase Order No.
  • Log and scan of all Supplier Invoices and Staff Expenses received
  • Mark-up invoices with the correct Nominal Code, PO No, Works Order No & Cost Code (if applicable)
  • To check, match and close Purchase Orders ensuring that the delivery has been made with the correct Quantity and that the Price charged is the same as the invoice
  • To Post Invoices to the Purchase Ledger & Costing Systems
  • Obtain the correct authorisation for each invoice
  • Generate a Proposed Payment List on a weekly basis, for approval
  • BACS payment runs and sending out remittances
  • Post cash payments to purchase ledger and update cashbook
  • Identify and resolve any queries on supplier accounts
  • Set-up new supplier accounts with appropriate checks and approvals
  • Reconcile Group Intercompany balances each month

Accounts PayableKey Skills Required:

  • An understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
  • Pro-active approach and organised
  • Able to hit deadlines and be aware of the importance of this
  • Good Excel skills
  • Ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
