Management Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing commercial business to recruit a Progressive Management Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. Working in a finance team supporting the Finance Director, this job will be responsible for supporting with the smooth running of the company's management accounts, general finances and tax.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with the production of monthly management accounts to accurately portray the financial performance of the companies of the Group including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash flow, Reconciliations, Analysis and KPI's
• Assistance with the production of monthly Consolidated Management Accounts for the Group
• Manage VAT processes to ensure legal and regulatory compliance with HMRC requirements and prepare VAT returns.
• Assistance with preparation of quarterly forecasts and rolling budgets.
• Assisting with the preparation of Annual Accounts and dealing with Audits
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.

The successful candidate will ideally be ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA) qualified or close to completing or qualified by experience. Working alongside the Finance Director you will be able to demonstrate prior experience working within an accounting function, specifically having had responsibility for the production of monthly management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and the completion of VAT returns. In addition, you will have:

• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills

• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Navision/Business Central is desirable but not essential.

• Excellent attention to detail

• Able to proactively work alone as well as within a team.

• Strong organisational skills
