Description:

NIAO has a permanent, full-time opportunity for an Audit Manager (37 hours per week). The role offers a salary of £65,512 to £73,001 per annum and a range of attractive benefits including hybrid working, generous annual leave entitlement, pension package, family friendly benefits, flexible working, free car parking, on-site gym and an active sports and social calendar.

You will report to a Director who will assign a team of staff to you. You will lead the team and manage its delivery of a complex portfolio of audit work, understanding the wider context and issues facing clients and stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

  1. At least 3 years' post qualification and current membership of one of the following bodies: Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy; One of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants (CAI, ICAEW, ICAS etc.); Association of Chartered Certified Accountants; Chartered Institute of Management Accountants; Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland OR equivalent international accountancy qualification.
  2. Three years' experience, during your career to date, of auditing financial statements AND robust working knowledge of applying financial reporting standards, auditing standards and methodologies.
  3. Experience of analysing complex financial and performance information and drafting written reports for key stakeholders to inform effective decision making.
  4. Experience of planning and managing the use of resources for multiple activities within budget constraints in a complex environment.
  5. Evidence of a proven ability to develop, motivate and lead teams.
  6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
