Assistant Accountant

Morgan McKinley is delighted to have partnered with a forward-thinking and innovative organisation based on the outskirts of Brighton to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

As a key member in the central finance team, you'll report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with a skilled and experienced team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a new challenge in a rewarding environment!

Location: Brighton, East Sussex

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 per annum

Assistant Accountant duties include:

• Filing of VAT returns
• Supporting with general bookkeeping
• Improving processes
• Liaising with clients regarding technical accounting, alongside developing relationships
• Supporting with audits
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation, alongside year-end preparation
• Supporting with wider financial accounting
• Support with management accounts preparation

Skills & experience

• ACCA studier
• Exposure to management accounts processes
• Good systems knowledge
