Group Accountant - part qualified

Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a large multisite services organisation with a HQ based in Derby looking to appoint a part qualified Group Accountant salary up to 35,000 per annum + study support.

This is a fabulous opportunity for an aspiring Accountant looking to develop their finance experience to become a well rounded Management Accountant.

Group Accountant duties:

• Assisting in preparing budgets, maintaining reports, completing bookkeeping and accounting duties for all group companies.
• Preparing month-end files in readiness for the month-end process
• Support in the production of the management accounts for all group companies posting month end journals including fixed assets, depreciation, GRNI, accruals and prepayments
• Produce management information on daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports as required.
• Prepare financial accounts and reporting including balance sheet and control account reconciliation
• Calculate the monthly depreciation charge following the monthly asset capitalisation
• Ensure monthly capital KPI information is provided to the business VAT
