Description:

The Change Delivery team is a global function that works with the Board and executive management to provide a full research and delivery function to inform and deliver strategic initiatives. For the team's credibility and long term success, it is critical that it has the ability to manage and implement initiatives and projects. Demand for the team's services has grown and continues to grow.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Change Delivery team.

The portfolio comprises company strategic initiatives, ranging from setting up new functions / teams, to acquisitions / due diligence and operational improvement programmes.

Accountable for

  • Business analysis of strategic initiatives and guiding senior management towards accepting change
  • Recommending and supporting the delivery of business and technical solutions aligned with the project goals and business outcomes
  • Understanding the market within which the company operates, along with the commercial and competitive pressures, and potential opportunities available

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Investigate, analyse, challenge and define the detailed business processes and requirements to support the strategic and tactical goals of the organisation
  • Provide and support the delivery of solutions that meet business needs, aligning with company International business strategy and IT architectural roadmap
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documentation and, where necessary, Functional Specifications in conjunction with internal IT resources or external software providers
  • Project management including project planning, delivery and tracking of non-complex business and technical solutions
  • Provide detailed input to feasibility phases, concept definition, preparation of business cases and strategic option analysis as required
  • Identify project / business risks and issues and propose mitigating actions
  • Provide input to the definition and production of training plans and materials for the training area
  • Assist with the definition of UAT test scripts and test case definition for the testing area
  • Ensure business engagement, ownership and sign-off of new business processes and associated system functionality at appropriate milestones throughout the project
  • Ensure IDF project standards are adhered to

Technical skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills enabling business partnership
  • Commercial experience of utilising a variety of Business Analysis structured methods
  • Strong requirements gathering skills e.g. workshops, interviewing or questionnaire
  • Proven capability in Lean/six sigma (preferred but not essential)
  • Business Analysis experience within the London Market insurance (Syndicate and/or Company) and reinsurance sectors would be useful, but not a requirement
  • Data analysis skills such as SQL or Power BI
  • Experience working on large programmes and delivering end to end solutions
  • Experience with integrating with third party applications and documenting technical requirements
  • BCS Business Analysis Diploma or IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
