Overview: Join our esteemed Coventry firm as an Audit Senior, where you'll lead and manage audits for a diverse client base including commercial organisations, academies, and charities. This role offers a blend of audit work and accounts preparation, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and advance towards becoming an Audit Partner.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audit engagements independently for clients with turnovers ranging from £1 million - £200 million.
Assess risks, design audit procedures, and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare audit workpapers, review financial statements, and document findings and conclusions.
Conduct hands-on lead audit fieldwork.
Identify areas for improvement, control weaknesses, or compliance issues and make recommendations.
Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver high-quality client service and meet deadlines.
Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing regulations and standards.
What we're looking for from you:
ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing completion.
Significant auditing and accounting experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
Proficient in auditing and accounting software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
