Full time, permanent - office based.

Hours: 9:00 - 5:00pm (30 min lunch)

Or you could be an experienced Credit Controller/Finance Assistant who is looking for a local role within a small friendly team.

This well-established, multi-site business is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their finance team based at their site in Hoddesdon. As an Assistant, you will work closely with the other team members helping to manage the credit control process, till reconciliation and obtaining customer payments of outstanding invoices.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Collate and file daily till sheets from all sites.- Enter till sheet information into Excel spreadsheets.- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes internally and with branches.- Post EOM petty cash journal.

- Monitoring staff accounts and branch cash accounts.- Reconciling Sales Ledger accounts.- Taking calls and emails from customers and branches & adjusting credit limits.- Taking card payments & resolving queries.

Ideal skills:- Proficiency in accounting software, working knowledge of Excel.- Good knowledge of accounts receivable and credit control processes.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, confident telephone manner.- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively with minimum supervision.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult conversations with customers.

- Good organisational & communication skills.
