Stanton House is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a Legal Services Business in London on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract paying £65,000 - £70,000 per annum (depending on experience). This role offers a hybrid working model with 2-3 working in their London office. This unique role aims to uphold financial control, enhance reporting, and foster analysis for business advancement, emphasising continuous improvement in processes and systems. For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity for a temporary-to-permanent transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly management accounts preparation and submission, encompassing financial accounting and reconciliation processes.
  • Monthly reporting of financial outcomes, analyse variances and provide commentary for decision support.
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting for balance sheet, cash flow, and P&L.
  • Serve as the main liaison for auditors and handle reporting to HMRC and external agencies.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish optimal controls, processes and internal reporting.
  • Develop efficient financial systems ensuring data integrity.
  • Prepare monthly consultant invoice reports and approve Client and Office account transactions.
  • Generate ad hoc reports for senior management as needed.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Newly Qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with 1-2 years PQE.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS).
  • Experience in financial reporting and group accounting is advantageous.
  • Legal or Professional services experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and confident in setting and achieving goals.
