Management Accountant

We are looking for an immediate Management Accountant (QBE) who is happy at their level and can deliver accurate, reliable financial reporting without the need for progression on a temp/temp to perm basis in Warrington. This role suits someone who wants to be a key part of a small, friendly finance team in the construction sector.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established business in the construction sector, known for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining a collaborative, supportive working environment. Based in Warrington, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join initially on a temporary basis with the opportunity for this to turn permanent for the right candidate.

Description

The Management Accountant duties include:

• Produce monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments
• Maintain trial balance and assist with month-end close
• Process payroll for weekly and monthly staff
• Work with Sage 50, and other relevant systems
• Support the Finance Director and Accounts Payable team
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting deadlines
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Immediate start/short notice period
• Qualified by Experience (QBE) or solid Management Accountant background
• Strong knowledge of Sage 50, payroll processes
• Ability to produce accurate management accounts and trial balance
• Excellent understanding of accruals, prepayments, and construction industry terminology
• Strong interpersonal skills - able to work collaboratively in a small team
