Credit Controller responsibilities:

• Manage customer accounts and ensure timely payments are received
• Perform credit checks on new and existing clients to assess risk levels
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue invoices
• Prepare and distribute regular financial reports to management
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice queries efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities
• Support the implementation of improved credit control processes
• Provide advice to clients on payment terms and account management

A successful Credit Controller should have:

• Experience in the accounting and finance sector, particularly in credit control
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

Credit Controller:

• Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 annually, dependent on experience
