Management Accountant

We're partnering with a market leading international electronics company to help them find a Management Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. If you're looking to work in a modern office and be part of a small, close-knit team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate will already have solid experience in accounts, with the ability to work in a broad role - pitching in with transactional accounting through to producing monthly management reporting. They will be hard working and eager to learn and grow within the finance function and over time, will be rewarded with the opportunity to take on new responsibilities and develop their skill set - reporting into the Head of Finance, with the possibility of taking their place one day.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts
• Prepare and post journals for accruals, prepayments, and other balance sheet adjustments to ensure accurate management reporting
• Develop internal controls and improve processes
• Submit VAT returns and support external audits
• Maintain organised and audit-ready records
• Manage accounts payable through to authorising payments
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances
• Maintain cash book and fixed assets register
• Support junior team members as needed (Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant)

Requirements:

• Willing to work in a varied role, AP through to management accounts
• Able to produce management accounts.
• Experience with VAT.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel - confident user of pivot tables and look ups
• Ideally, experience with stock and multicurrency accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A quick learner with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn, ask questions and take on a range of responsibilities.

This is an office-based position. Monday to Friday 9-5.30.
