| Description: | Accounts Payable Assistant Location: London Salary: 26,000 - 28,000 Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (40 hours) Job Type: Permanent Overview I'm supporting a rapidly growing London-based organisation that's looking to bring in an ambitious Accounts Payable Assistant. This is an excellent role for someone with early finance experience who wants to develop, gain broader exposure, and work closely with an experienced Financial Controller. If you're keen to grow your skillset, learn new areas of finance, and become a key part of a friendly, high-performing team, this is a brilliant opportunity. Key Responsibilities Processing purchase invoices accurately and on time Completing supplier statement reconciliations Ensuring correct coding, dating and treatment of invoices, including prepayments Supporting weekly/monthly payment runs and liaising with suppliers where needed Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting monthly depreciation Assisting with month-end activities, including stock checks Running ad-hoc reports and analysis as required Supporting basic credit control tasks Helping prepare audit files and year-end documentation Skills & Experience Required AAT Level 2/3 or currently studying (or similar accounting studies) At least 12 months' experience in a finance or accounts environment Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and fixed assets Confident user of Excel; experience with accounting systems (any modern package) Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to learn and improve Good communicator and a supportive team player Basic knowledge of VAT would be beneficial What Makes This a Great Opportunity Genuine exposure to all areas of finance - ideal for someone eager to progress Close mentorship from a highly experienced Financial Controller A supportive environment that encourages development and career growth Fast-growing business with plenty of opportunity to broaden your responsibilities Hybrid working available once probation is passed Additional benefits, including healthcare, after probation AGY - Vitae Financial Recruitment We Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration | |
