Description:
Axon Moore are delighted to be supporting a leading business in North Yorkshire in the appointment of a Finance MI and Data Manger for a 12 month contract.

You will play a key role in shaping and developing systems and ensuring that the financial data is accurate, in order to support commercial decision-making. You will lead the enhancement of dashboards and data models and ensure systems are processes are fit for purpose

The key roles and responsibilities for this person will include:
  • Develop, maintain and enhance financial and operational reporting across the business) using Excel or Power BI as appropriate.
  • Own the creation and distribution of management information (MI), dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI tools focusing on both YTD performance but also the full year targets.
  • Validate the integrity of the Finance Data
  • Maintain data governance, user access controls, and process documentation.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate fixes with internal IT teams or external vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and streamline reporting workflows.Act as a subject matter expert on reporting capabilities
The ideal candidate requirements for this role will include the following:
  • Strong experience in finance systems management
  • Advanced skills with Power BI and Excel including financial modelling
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems
  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Proven track record of improving reporting processes and system functionality.

This is a 12 month role starting in January 2026
