Your new role:
As a Billing Administrator within the Finance team, you will oversee the full billing cycle, ensuring invoices are produced and distributed accurately and on schedule. You'll work closely with fee earners and clients, maintain precise billing records, and contribute to wider financial operations, including month-end and year-end activities. Your position will be central to maintaining compliance, efficiency, and accuracy across all invoicing functions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and issuing client invoices in accordance with firm policies
• Collaborating with fee earners to confirm accurate recording of billable hours and disbursements
• Managing WIP reports and resolving any inconsistencies
• Ensuring adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT requirements
• Tracking aged debt and working alongside Credit Control to address outstanding balances
• Producing ad-hoc financial reports and maintaining up-to-date billing records
• Handling internal and client billing queries in a timely manner

• Prior experience in billing or finance administration, ideally within legal or professional services
• Solid knowledge of legal billing processes, VAT regulations, and Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with Aderant is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset
