Accounts Manager, Oxfordshire

A growing and highly regarded accountancy practice in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced and confident accounts manager to join their team.

This is a key role within the firm, offering autonomy, variety, and a clear path to further progression. It s ideal for someone who enjoys both client-facing responsibilities and supporting the development of a high-performing team.

The role:

• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients across a variety of sectors

• Reviewing year-end accounts, tax returns, and VAT submissions prepared by the team

• Providing strategic advice to clients and helping them achieve their financial goals

• Leading client meetings, handling queries, and maintaining excellent relationships

• Supporting, mentoring, and managing junior staff to ensure quality output and continued development

• Contributing to internal process improvements and workflow management

About you:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with significant experience in practice

• Skilled in managing client portfolios and reviewing team output

• Strong communicator with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach

• Comfortable leading client meetings and advising on technical matters

• Proficient with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, CCH or similar
