A well-regarded and growing accountancy practice in Henley-on-Thames is seeking an experienced accounts senior to join their friendly and professional team.

The role:

• Preparing year-end accounts for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, sole traders and partnerships

• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns

• Supporting clients with general accounting queries and providing hands-on advice where needed

• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior staff

• Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior team members

• Liaising with clients, HMRC and other external stakeholders

About you:

• Experienced in accounts preparation within a UK accountancy practice

• Comfortable managing a portfolio of SME clients

• Confident communicator, able to build rapport with clients and colleagues

• Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience

• Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, CCH, IRIS, etc.)

• A team player with a proactive and organised approach
