Audit and Accounts Manager

We are recruiting an Audit and Accounts Manager to join a forward-thinking and supportive firm of Chartered Accountants in Guildford. This opportunity offers a strong mix of client responsibility and partner visibility, with flexible working, all without the requirement for excessive travel.

You will be part of a collaborative firm known for its career progression pathways, positive culture, and a high-quality client base ranging from Owner Managed Businesses to Charitable organisations and larger corporate groups.

• Take full responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients, managing the delivery of audit and accounts assignments from planning to final review.
• Work closely with Partners, gaining exposure to broader advisory and client management responsibilities.
• Lead audit engagements, liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure quality and compliance.
• Supervise and support junior team members, contributing to their development through effective coaching and review.
• Gain exposure to a varied client mix, including OMBs, LLPs, and groups, many based locally, minimising travel demands.

• ACA or ACCA qualified with solid post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members within a Practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge, particularly around audit, FRS 102, and statutory accounts preparation.
• Comfortable working with a wide range of business types and eager to build trusted client relationships.
• A confident communicator who enjoys a hands on, client facing role.

• Salary between £45,000 and £65,000 depending on experience.

Based in modern offices in Guildford, this role is easily commutable from Leatherhead, Woking, Dorking, Epsom, and parts of Hampshire and West Sussex.
