Role Summary: Supports the organisations statutory audits of government bodies, working with permanent teams to deliver high quality financial and value for money audits in line with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct financial audits of government departments in line with company methodology.
Prepare and maintain audit documentation compliant with ISA 230.
Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Identify issues and escalate findings to senior auditors.
Apply technical guidance to support audit quality.
Engage with clients professionally and attend meetings.
Complete required technical training for assigned audits.
Uphold the ethical and confidentiality standards of the organisation
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of auditing standards including ISA and IFRS.
High quality documentation skills with clear, accurate working papers.
Sound professional judgement and scepticism.
Analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
Effective communication and teamwork.
Technical proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.
Public sector knowledge desirable.
Experience
Recent external audit experience.
Familiarity with the top 10 audit firms softwares and policies
ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
Public sector audit experience desirable but not essential.
Working Pattern
On site or client site presence for three days per week.
