Hays Senior Finance are working with an ambitious SME business in the Worcester area as they seek a Management Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. Our client is an innovative, privately-owned company that balances purpose with performance and every product purchased supports community wellbeing and mental health initiatives.
Your new role
As the business navigates a period of change, you will provide invaluable and hands-on day-to-day management accounting support whilst helping with the implementation of a new ERP system.
Main duties:

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet reporting
• Provide variance analysis and commentary to support decision-making
• Partner with non-finance teams to understand and explain drivers of business performance
• Support refinements and improvements to financial processes
• Help with the implementation/optimisation of Business Central into the finance function

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  
• Proven track record in management accounting roles, preferably within an SME setting
  
• Experience using Business Central/MS Dynamics 365 (non-negotiable)
  
• Retail/manufacturing background (highly advantageous)
  
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships at all levels
  
• Comfortable operating in a busy and fast-paced environment
