Our client, a respected financial services firm, is seeking a Business Review Analyst to join their Compliance team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of CISL Compliance, you will play a key role in strengthening governance and Consumer Duty frameworks by reviewing client files, assessing regulatory controls, and supporting continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct structured reviews of client advice files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with FCA requirements.
  • Assess advice suitability, disclosures, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Identify and escalate material findings, tracking remediation actions through to resolution.
  • Perform Consumer Duty outcome testing across advice and platform services.
  • Support AML monitoring through periodic file and process reviews.
  • Produce clear, concise reports summarising findings for senior management and the Compliance Committee.
  • Analyse review trends to identify systemic risks and recommend control improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen file management processes and embed Consumer Duty principles.
  • Support wider compliance projects once a strong understanding of the regulatory framework is established.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience within compliance monitoring, business review, audit, or risk in a financial services or wealth management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience reviewing advice files or FAR reviews.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating findings and influencing change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using compliance monitoring tools advantageous.
  • Professional qualifications such as ICA, CISI, Level 4 Diploma, or risk-based qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • High levels of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a flat team structure.

Additional Information
  • Office-based, Monday to Friday in Witney, Oxfordshire.
