Group Accountant

We are seeking a promising Group Accountant to join a dynamic and growing Worcestershire family business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

This role covers full financial management and reporting across the group, including:

• Daily cashflow and bank monitoring, postings in Sage 50 and specific (ERP),
• Management accounts, P&L and balance sheets
• Payroll, VAT, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Advising directors on financial strategy and ensuring accuracy in audit and compliance processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and systems.

Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in an accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and consolidation processes.
• Excellent Excel and ERP system skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Query and Sage 50
