The Role You will play a key role in managing office and client account transactions, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. Key responsibilities include:
Processing inbound payments for office and client accounts
Posting transactions to client ledgers using the practice management system
Issuing bills, cheques and processing BACS payments
Bank reconciliations, VAT returns, bookkeeping and month-end reporting
Managing payment exceptions and liaising with finance and legal teams
Maintaining accurate electronic filing of transactional documentation
Managing the Cashiers team mailbox and supporting wider finance duties
Applying delegated discretion in line with firm procedures and regulatory requirements
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a legal cashier or legal account s role
Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
Experience with legal accounting and electronic banking systems
IT literate with good MS Excel and MS Word skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
