Accounts Manager

Smailes Goldie has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join the firms Selby office as part of a succession plan. Joining an established senior management team as Accounts Manager, you will work and develop a diverse portfolio of clients, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality work whilst supporting the development of junior team members. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements for companies, partnerships, sole traders and trusts
• Manage and support trainees, providing coaching, guidance, and technical development
• Assist with day-to-day client queries and actively seek to develop relationships
• Collaborate closely with tax and audit departments when required
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
• Represent the firm professionally in all written and verbal communications
• Engage in continuous personal and professional development through ongoing training and technical learning

WHAT YOU LL BRING

• Accounts Manager experience, ACA or ACCA qualified used to managing your own client portfolio
• Several years experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and IRIS (advantageous)
