A large, complex public sector organisation is seeking an outstanding senior finance leader to head its Finance Operations function. This critical role will shape and deliver an operational finance service that is efficient, modern, and aligned to strategic priorities.You will lead approximately 75 staff across Procurement & Accounts Payable, Payroll & Expenses, Pensions, Accounts Receivable, and Finance Systems. With a strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence, you will oversee day to day delivery while driving long term transformation.A major part of the role will involve developing and delivering system and process enhancements, including significant preparation for a future ERP programme. You will ensure strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and high quality performance across all operational teams. As part of the Finance leadership team, you will contribute to shaping the wider strategic direction and champion best practice across the function.About YouWe are looking for a senior leader with:

• A proven ability to review and modernise services, systems and processes
• Strong experience delivering accurate, meaningful financial information for decision making
• Expertise in financial systems, including functional databases and/or ERP environments
• The ability to lead change proactively and positively
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach
