Your new company A well established manufacturing business with operations across production, supply chain, and distribution is looking to strengthen its finance function with the addition of a Management Accountant. The organisation operates in a fast paced, cost focused environment where accurate reporting and commercial insight are critical to operational decision making.The business offers a stable working environment with clear processes, strong operational teams, and a focus on continuous improvement.Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts and provide financial insight to support manufacturing and operational performance.Key responsibilities will include:
Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis
Cost accounting across production, including standard costing and variance reporting
Analysis of manufacturing overheads, labour and material costs
Stock valuation, WIP reporting and reconciliation
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Cashflow forecasting and cost control
Partnering with production, supply chain and operational managers
Supporting year end processes, audits and statutory reporting
Identifying process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
This is a hands on role suited to someone comfortable working close to operations and providing commercial support to non finance stakeholders.What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Management Accountant role
Exposure to a manufacturing or production led environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting, stock and variance analysis
Good Excel skills and experience working with ERP / manufacturing systems
Part qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience accountants considered
Strong communication skills and confidence working with operational teams
A proactive, detail driven approach with strong commercial awareness
