Accounts Assistant (12-month FTC)

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client, based in the Medway Towns, to join their Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This role will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accuracy across bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting.

Duties will include:

• Processing day-to-day accounts and general bookkeeping
• Posting journals and supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing prepayments and supplier/customer ledgers
• Completing bank reconciliations and assisting with multi-currency payment runs
• Supporting invoicing, statements, and credit control
• Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks and reporting as required

The successful candidate will:

• Be available at short notice
• Have previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
• Have strong reconciliation and journal posting experience
• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Be able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
