Description:

The interim Head of Liquidity Risk sits within the Group Risk function and is responsible for ensuring the Group effectively identifies, assesses, measures, and manages its liquidity risk exposure. Liquidity Risk is one of the nine principal risk categories faced by the Group.

Description

  • Oversee and provide independent challenge to the management of Liquidity Risk across the Group, including key strategic initiatives as required.
  • Ensure full adherence to applicable Liquidity Risk regulations and supervisory expectations.
  • Lead the review and independent challenge of the Group's ILAAP.
  • Lead the review and challenge of the Group's Recovery Plan, including recovery indicators, recovery capacity, and the Contingency Funding Plan.
  • Review and provide input on liquidity-related sections of prospectus updates for issuance programmes.
  • Propose the Liquidity Risk Appetite for Board review and approval.
  • Establish and maintain the overarching Liquidity Risk Framework and associated policies.
  • Ensure policy standards are consistently applied and compliance with Liquidity Risk policies is maintained.
  • Approve 1LOD Liquidity Risk procedures in line with the requirements of the Liquidity Risk Policy.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing 2LOD Liquidity Risk team, providing independent oversight and challenge across all Liquidity Risk matters within the Group.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate team members to strengthen capability and expertise in Liquidity Risk management.
  • Effectively manage team resources to ensure the function is appropriately staffed and equipped to meet its responsibilities.

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

  • A strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within the financial services industry.
  • Proven knowledge of liquidity risk and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial reporting and risk management tools.
  • The ability to work effectively within a large organisation and manage multiple priorities.
