Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

My client, a successful business based in Witham is seeking an Accounts Assistant who is keen to broaden their existing skillset to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a family run business who can offer you a long-term and rewarding career. You will be trained to use their industry bespoke systems in order to be able to support other arears of the business.

Duties to include, but will not be limited to:

• Purchase, sales and nominal ledger duties
• Bank reconciliations
• Daily use of Sage 200 & Excel
• Answering any finance related queries
• Liaising with suppliers regularly
• VAT returns
• Analysing key data
• Dealing with any queries from customers regarding debt control
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Assisting various teams when required

The ideal candidate:

• Previous accounts experience essential
• AAT Level 2 qualification ideal
• Excellent IT skills, specifically on Excel
• Previous Sage experience ideal
• A team player who is helpful and reliable
• Some accountancy qualifications ideal
