Senior Finance Manager - Accounts Payable

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting a highly respected international professional services organisation with the recruitment of a Senior Finance Leader with a remit of international operations & AP to join its Southampton office in Hampshire.

This is a key leadership role within a complex, multi-jurisdictional organisation with a strong growth trajectory and continued investment in systems and people. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of international finance operations and the full AP function, leading a sizeable, multi-office team and working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

What will the Senior Finance Manager role involve?

• Leading and developing a multi-office Accounts Payable team, fostering accountability, capability and succession planning across 11 direct reports.
• Taking ownership of the full AP lifecycle, from supplier onboarding and invoice processing through to approvals, payment runs and supplier relationship management.
• Overseeing day-to-day finance operations for a number of international offices, including AP, AR, banking activities, payroll inputs, journals and general ledger oversight.
• Acting as a finance business partner to Office Heads, Partners and operational leaders, providing insight and commercial challenge where required.
• Driving process improvements and automation initiatives across Accounts Payable, working closely with IT and Finance on systems enhancements and workflow tools.

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Finance Manager vacancy:

• Experience within a professional services or legal environment is essential.
• Demonstrable experience leading an AP function within a complex, multi-entity organisation.
• A confident and credible leader, with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent.
• A professional finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or demonstrable equivalent experience would be advantageous.
