US GAAP Financial Accounting Manager

London (Hybrid)

£-month FTC)

An international, consumer-facing group with a strong global brand presence is seeking a US GAAP Financial Accounting Manager to support its Group Finance function during a key phase of reporting and process development.

This is a 12-month contract role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, external audit, and US reporting requirements within a complex, multi-entity environment.

You will support the transition and enhancement of US GAAP reporting processes, working closely with Group Finance and external auditors.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of US GAAP reporting adjustments and reconciliations
• Preparation of technical accounting papers and position memos
• Supporting quarterly and annual reporting cycles
• Assisting with external audit queries relating to US GAAP
• Reviewing and strengthening controls around financial reporting
• Supporting process documentation and knowledge transfer within the team
• Contributing to continuous improvement of reporting workflows and governance

This role sits within Group Finance and requires someone comfortable operating across accounting, controls, and technical interpretation.

We are seeking a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating in a listed or US-reporting environment.

You will ideally have:

• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong US GAAP technical knowledge (essential)
• Experience in group reporting or technical accounting
• Confidence preparing and reviewing accounting position papers
• Experience supporting external audits
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to reporting deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills

Exposure to IFRS and multi-entity consolidation environments would be advantageous.
